Traveler's Retreat is a quiet cottage on a beautiful neighborhood street in Historic Savannah. Just a few minutes walk from Forsyth Park, it's a refuge from the rush and the throngs of the downtown. Set back amongst the squares and side streets of Old Savannah, with its lush, private courtyard and cool, diffused light, our hope is that you will find the Retreat to be the perfect place to recharge after a long day of salt and sun on Tybee, or seeing the sights downtown.

Built in the 1890's, the cottage was for a time used as a parlor for a fortune teller. It fell into disrepair before being purchased in the late 80's by a couple who brought it back from the brink.

The master bedroom has a custom made king bed, and an en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed, and the main bathroom has a claw-foot tub and shower. The kitchen is newly updated, with and electric range, oven, and microwave, and all the amenities you will need to make yourself at home. The couch in the living room folds out to comfortably sleep two more, and there is a dinning room off of the kitchen that seats six.

Washer/dryer, television, linens, towels, shampoo, body wash, and conditioner, all are provided. And if you are bringing equipment like kayaks, bikes, or for the beach, we have a separate storage building on the property to keep your belonging secure, without having to bring the great outdoors inside with you.

And the courtyard is a lush bit of sun and shade to sit back and relax in after a day out in the hustle and noise of the town. Take is slow and easy, and enjoy.

Guest access

The cottage is private and at your complete disposal. There is room in the closets and bathroom shelves for you to unpack and spread out.
